CEO Update

July 30, 2018

In July, from the 10th through the 24th, Modum held its second milestone voting. I am happy to report that the voting period concluded with positive results: over 93% of participants voted “yes”, confirming that we have indeed achieved what we set out to do. Approximately 4% of all tokens in circulation voted, compared to our 11% voter turnout in Milestone One. While we cannot know how many people voted, feedback on our community channels leads us to believe that the large majority of our active token-holder community voted with some portion of their tokens. We think this turnout is a solid representation of our community who are now holding their MOD Tokens in various wallets and on exchanges.

We would like to thank everyone for voting. Each vote is a validating source of feedback for us at modum. It reminds us that our community is following our progress closely and wants us to succeed. We believe the Milestone Two outcomes indicate the high level of alignment between our team, MOD token holders, and Modum shareholders. Additionally, our shareholders will now also become token holders, which will continue to build alignment, ensuring that they remain as concerned with the MOD Token as our tokenholders are with Modum.io AG. The positive outcome of Milestone Two also validates the work we have done to date: ensuring our go-to-market, developing and qualifying our solution, setting up commercial partnerships, running pilots under NDA, and ramping up production. Each of these have presented unique challenges requiring periods of focused work without a lot of exciting announcements. To receive such positive feedback from the community is a huge motivation for our team, reminding us of your ongoing support.

New team members

Modum is committed to keeping its token holder community alive and vibrant as well as informed and engaged. I am happy to report that a new member will join our marketing team in August, providing a new voice on all of our community channels. If you are active on any of our channels please help the modum team in welcoming Luca when he begins in the next weeks.

Mobile App Competition

As we announced last month, we are excited to launch a competition for the community to select a developer for the application that will allow them to interact with our sensing device. The goal of the competition is to create an opportunity for a talented developer or small team of developers to interact with our team and technology, and build an app that allows MOD Token holders to interact with our data logger. The community at large will have the opportunity to feedback during the process. For Modum this is a way to engage token holders directly with our product. We are eager to send out our first-generation sensing devices to each of our KYC investors and also make a limited number available to interested token holders. Full details of the competition will be announced in August.

Big events for go-to-market

As we prepare for the commercial availability of our product, we are lining up some high-profile industry events this fall where we will present Modum and MODsense TM. We will be participating at PostEurop Business Innovation Forum in Tbilisi on October 4th, at Accenture’s Executive Talk Series on October 18th, at Blockchain for Pharma in Boston on October 24, and at the Asia Cold Chain Show in Bangkok on November 28th. We look forward to adding even more events as Q4 approaches.

 ERP and Customer Support Systems

Commercial availability also means getting ready for operations. Summertime has been spent onboarding our latest team members, streamlining our organization and processes, and establishing an ERP solution that supports all of this. New team members continue to provide additional bandwidth to address additional topics. Completing each of these projects will mean that we can serve customers and partners to high, professional standards, distributing and supporting our solution in the marketplace.

I look forward to updating you on our progress at the end of August. Until then, I wish you an incredible summer.
