CEO Update August, 2019
CEO Update August, 2019
August 30, 2019
One the most challenging seasons for temperature-controlled logistics comes to an end and supply chain managers are sensitized when it comes to the perils of elevated outside temperatures present to the quality of goods in transit. This is a great starting point for our sales and marketing team to engage into the last third of this year and meet new customers! Meanwhile our product team is busy developing our next solutions and all employees help collecting data for testing. And since all teams are so concentrated on furthering our portfolio for our customers, this CEO update is a short one.
Future of the MOD token
As already broadly announced, after having carefully listened to the community, we decided to cancel the token-equity swap vote. The board is now back at the drawing table and will later in the year share an updated plan. As mentioned in the media release, we are at the moment not pursuing any exchange listings. Instead, everyone in our team is fully focused on increasing the value we can provide to our customers!
Our own yearly event aims at bringing together our ecosystem, by sharing the latest industry trends, uniting leading minds, and unveiling our latest and future products. And MODday 2019 is taking shape: we decided to hold it at Kraftwerk here in Zurich. We will start the evening with some thought-provoking speeches, then take the audience through live-demos of our latest products. For example we plan to show you our latest co-innovation cases with new customers, we want to engage you in open discussions and end MODday 2019 with a great networking reception. Take a look at what MODday 2018 was all about.
Conferences and Events
We’re getting ready for the next season of events and have a great lineup to present Modum to the industry. Let’s start with taking a look back: Carl Spörri, our Chief Commercial Officer, was invited by the organizers of the Temperatuz conference to hold a live webinar for all those who missed his speech about “Next Generation Supply Chain Digitalization and Optimization in Pharmaceutical Supply Chains” in June at the Temperatuz conference in Barcelona. More than 100 professionals registered; the audience wanting to learn more about how we approach supply chain optimization consisted of representatives of major pharma companies and logistics providers and even competitors – thanks to everyone for listening to what we have to say! We are proud to be recognized as thought leaders when it comes to supply chain digitalization.
On 3 September, together with CollectID, Sacha Uhlmann, Chief Product Officer, and Thilo Schweizer, will show a live demo about how simply transfer of ownership can be traced. The demo will be held at Trust Square in the context of the third Swiss Digital Day. Click here for more info.
Thilo was invited by Hewlett Packard Enterprise to hold a series of three expert talks at the HPE Innovation Circles in Berne, Dubendorf and Geneva on 17, 19 and 24 September. Sign up here to see him.
On 25 September we will be exhibiting our solutions at the 2nd Pharma Logistics Day (PLD) in Basel. PLD is a partner led side event of ILMAC the leading trade fair for laboratory and process technology. Robert von Arx and Yves Holenstein will welcome you at our booth and gladly discuss how Modum is your partner when it comes to monitoring, automating and optimizing your supply chain.
Please also mark 5-7 November 2019 in your agendas: We will exhibit at CPhI worldwide in Frankfurt, Germany and look forward to being part of this huge event for the first time this year! I’ll share more about this next month. However, if you are already planning your CPhI visit, make sure to come see us at stand 121H73!
I am looking forward to a busy and innovative September and I wish you all the same. Thank you for your ongoing support.
